Burgundy and rust wedding at Merriscourt
Posted on
It was great to be back at Merrisourt this month and to be part of Rebecca and Adam's beautiful Autumnal wedding. They had the perfect sunny, cool day to celebrate with a breathtaking sunset to boot. I knew from their first consultation this was going to be a gorgeous wedding. Rebecca and Adam were so keen to embrace the colours and textures of the season. Key to the brief: deep burgundy tones with rust and a touch of peach; chrysanths and thistles essentials; a freeflowing and natural style.

Merriscourt offers everything you need for the whole day, from getting ready, to the ceremony and wedding breakfast; the perfect venue to easily make use of your flowers from begnining to end...
The registar's table was decorated with Autumn flowers, foliage and berries. This was swiftly moved after the ceremony to Rebecca and Adam's Sweetheart table for the wedding breakfast; a table set for two, with their place settings having a finishing touch of a single sprig of foliage and thisle stem.

Rebecca had six bridesmaids, each having a generous, full hand-tied bouquet in autumn shades and simple trails of peach chiffon. To make full use of these, after the photos were finished, they were placed in simple glass vases to decorate the guest tables for the wedding breakfast.

To decorate the asile, little glass jars filled with berries and foliage were tied to the chairs with twine. After the ceremony these were moved to be enjoyed for the rest of the day including decorating the bar area and cake table. The flowers were designed to be utilised for the whole day, a great way to make the most of your wedding flower allowance.
