Autumn Wedding at The Clifden Arms, Worminghall

Autumn feels like my time of year! I love all the cliches; the rich and vibrant colours the season brings; crisp walks on cold but sunny days; the nights drawing in so you can get cosy. Maybe selfishly, it's beacuse it's when my birthday and wedding anniversary falls too. At home it's the time of year when celebrations start and you can begin to look forward to Christmas!
So when Holly and Josh asked me to work with them, creating a scheme for a fully seasonal, scrumptious Autumn wedding I was really excited to get started. Ideas were developed from a simple starting point of their chosen colour pallette; olive greens with rich rust, burgundy and orange tones.

My 'go to' with any scheme is to include as much seasonal material as possibe. Flowers and foliage just come in their own when they're in their natural growing season. So for Holly and Josh, there were some obvious choices; Chrysanth blooms, hypericum berries and of course the ever popular dahlia!

The week before the wedding Storm Amy provided a literal wind fall of beautiful autumn leaves in bright reds, oranges and browns. These were washed and dried ready for the day and used scattered on the guest tables as a finishing touch.

These little details for the wedding breakfast make all the difference, elevating a simple idea to something extra special your guests will notice and remember.
Thank you Holly and Josh for making me part of your wedding day. It was a lot of fun to be involved in, from start to finish!
